P. SO & 8thW1

I tell you, there’s some GREAT hip-hop out here. It’s 2010, and there’s this thing called the Internet where you can actively search for ANYTHING. It’s a great resource we have at our fingertips – barring Net Neutrality is preserved.

But, nonetheless, there’s a new mecca of hip-hop emerging in two places these days – Detroit and New York.

New Yorkers P.SO and 8thW1 are back with another video from their recently released LP, Suicide By Jellyfish. Check out this creatively edited video out for “1,000 Deaths Of Wackness,” featuring Likwuid and Fresh Daily – editied by Shankar Films.

Eminem & Jay-Z

Last night, Eminem and Jay-Z made history in Detroit at Comerica Park. As if the thought of Eminem and Jay-Z alone wasn’t epic enough, the night was filled with guest appearances and performances from: Dr.Dre, 50 Cent, Drake, Young Jeezy, Trick Trick, Memphis Bleek, D12, and more. And B.o.B. opened the show.

And the guestlist of people in attendance was even better. Everyone from Xzibit to Elliot Wilson of RapRadar.com. Even porn stars Mya G and Stacie Lane were in attendance!

Shout out to my homie Pat Deegan for locating this amateur-shot, YouTube footage of the show!

Red Bull

Seeing as how it’s going to take an act of God for quick clearance of the final edited video to go through Red Bull’s people AND Jimmy Iovine, we’re all starved for the official video of the Red Bull EmSee Battle: The Road To 8 Mile.

And so the search is on for the best quality amateur filmed video. Up until now, the only video you could find came from the Battle winner’s fellow artist in the BLAT! Pack, Capital SS and was posted by BLAT! Pack blogger and media rep over at Writething23.com, Amy Rita.

But now we have footage from each round of FowL’s complete dismemberment of the competition, thanks to Focal Point Media Group!

Cornerstore

Now, I’m always skeptical about flicks that seem to be hood movies but the clip of Trick Trick robbing the restaurant alone was enough to win me over! I’m not expecting an Oscar-quality movie but for an independent film, Corner Store looks to be well put together. Let’s hope the writing is up to par!
