@Will: It doesn’t have to do with expectations. I just wanna hear good music and WTT was anything but good music. I used to be a big Kanye fan and I’ve always given Jay his proper due when he drops heat. WTT was a shit turd in a plastic bag that was stepped on.

- Stones Throw celebrated their 15th year in the game as a top indie label. That alone garners them the praise. That’s a huge milestone. And they churned out a major label star in Mayer. That deserves the praise as well.

- There just weren’t that many mixtapes in 2011 I fucked with. The mixtape game was dry. My EP list is concise and accurate. There weren’t any other EP’s that deserved to be listed up there with those that I named.

Decent list. Couple things though.

-Not sure how WTT was disappointing to you, only because you already think Ye is already the corniest rapper of all time, and you talk about Jay being overrated already. I can see why you didn’t like it, but it seems like something you wouldn’t have high expectations for.
-IMO, doesn’t make much sense to give Stones Throw the label of the year only based on Mayer Hawthorne’s album. Mayer’s was the biggest project, but I think Mello released more good product on a more consistent basis in 2011.
-The Mixtapes of the year could’ve had much better nominees, but go ‘head and fuck with the fam, lol. Same for EPs.

Overall, decent list that shows your opinion. Kudos
